WAM bags are once again available to families in emergency situations. Requests are usually filled within 24 hours. Contact the school and speak to either myself or Tracy Vanson in the office or your child's teacher to put in a request.
The mobile food bank truck is available to families as well. This is very easy to access as families only need to supply a postal code and that’s it. Attached is the schedule for November and December.
The Salvation Army has also started a food hamper program. It runs Tuesdays and Thursdays and is by appointment only. They have switched to appointment-based programming for Food distribution and other services. Please TEXT or call 403-929-3884 to book an appointment for the same week of assistance. One appointment per household. (Call between 8 AM and 4 PM Monday, Tuesday and Thursday) TEXT your full household name as well as Tuesday or Thursday preference between 8 AM and 4 PM Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. Please arrive no earlier than 5 minutes before your booked time, if you are going to be more than 5 minutes late for your appointment, we ask that you rebook so it doesn't affect others.
