Women’s shelters operated by our community partners help keep women and children safe from family abuse. Support goes beyond the four walls and no one is turned away without being offered help.
Clare’s Law gives people who feel at risk of domestic violence a way to get information about their partners so they can make informed choices about their safety.
Individuals and families leaving an abusive situation can access the Escaping Abuse Benefit that provides financial support with costs to leave.
Albertans who have experienced sexual violence can call or text Alberta’s One Line for Sexual Violence at 1-866-403-8000. It is available 9am to 9pm daily in over 170 languages.
